Project Overview

Teaming up with DBS, we took on a prevalent issue:

Many elderly individuals, despite having a mobile phone and ATM card, struggle to recall their PINs. This reliance on memory often makes necessary banking transactions, such as cash withdrawals or balance checks, daunting and inconvenient for them.

So, what did we do?

We designed a sleek web application that syncs directly with ATMs. Now, seniors can authenticate transactions without the usual PIN hassle, making their banking smoother and more accessible.

Job Description

Developed backend infrastructure using Ruby on Rails, designing crucial endpoints and crafting REST API microservices for efficient CRUD operations on PostgreSQL hosted in Google Cloud, as well as integrating AWS Facial Recognition service.

Orchestrated the deployment of various frontend and backend services within multiple Google Cloud Run containers.

Collaborated with DBS to address the challenges faced by elderly individuals in digital banking, optimizing user experience and enhancing digital accessibility.
